I just switched my company from Windows to Linux\\Ubuntu. I use an EasyTable timesheet application that I wrote a long time ago to bill my time. I thought it would be a lot of work to rewrite this app for Linux.
I was wrong. My application was fully compatible with Linux Wine with absolutely no revisions. I now have cross platform software because I used EasyTable.

At last I want to say that Accuracer is very very good. I have one big network program with BDE database that I now have changed to work with Accuracer. There was 140 files (with index files) in the BDE database. To modify my program so it was working with Accurcer was very easy. Now I have the all this 140 files in one single file.

After some months hard work, I have placed my new application on the web. It is called Avignon Concept and it uses, besides Delphi 7, the Accuracer Database in a mono-user format.
Until now, I have not had any problem using the database myslef nor reported, even after more than several thousands of downloads. Your Accuracer product is really good!

I have been developing technical design software for engineers since the days of DOS 3.1 and must say that EZTable is one of the easiest, most useful add-ons that I have ever found.
The BDE is too cumbersome for stand alone software. With EZTable I was able to use my same TTables in previously developed projects without revision. I wish that I had known about your product years ago.

I really like the idea of using Accuracer's C/S model to its file based model because of data integrity - though I have over 1,200 users using my hobby program Drivers Log with the file based Accuracer and I haven't had any data loss reports in the past 7 months!
BTW, the largest db in Drivers Log to date that I know of is over 3.5gb (user has been storing receipts, images, etc)!

I was under the impression that SQLMemTable was just ONE table and not multiple tables stored into one component. The naming of the component is quite confusing. It's actually a SQLMemDatabase because it stores more than one table at a time :)
I've now worked it out. I can issue my Select into query and then flick the database over by setting active to false, changing database name and then setting active to true again. So simple This is one really brilliant component :) Regards, Anthoni Gardner, United Kingdom

You might be interested to know that after testing a lot of flat database products i first settled for one of your competitors only to find months later that their product is not thread safe, leaking a lot of memory when used in a thread. i have tested your products and so far despite extensive usage with an application that has 9 threads for communication, timing and analysis etc. i have not encountered any memory leak. Well, I evaluated 3 packages only a couple of weeks ago (elFileSystem, SolFS and SFS) and decided to go with SFS (even 'though it was the most expensive) because it was the best documented and easiest to use. It appears stable and reliable thus far. Lots of levels of compression depending upon what tradeoff you're looking for (speed vs size). But most of all... Dead easy to use. Charles Line

I have been a software developer for over 15 years now. I have worked with Large Oracle implementations, SQL Server, Flash Filer, Interbase, MySQL (MySQLDAC) and others. I have reviewed or purchased most Delphi Databases. I am quite impressed with the versatility of Acuracer. As you know, I am now kept awake trying to think of things Accuracer might not be able to do... I have never had this experience with a product before. This is the first Database product I have seen that supports so many models all in one toolset (Accuracer) and one environment (Delphi). You can even put all that data into a single databse file. Since databases can be created from inside of Delphi, a developer can easily have a single EXE that ships ready to run without any external installation packages or extra files like DLLs. The logic for creating the databse can be imbedded and run on installation. It is even possible to have a single EXE that is used on all tiers of the application. No installation nightmares! Developers using Accuracer and Delphi can focus on their application instead of the all the files needed for installation. And every bit of development can be done using Delphi and only Delphi. No matter what architecture (Single user, Client Server, n-Tier, Shared Files, In Memory Tables, etc.) Accuracer can handle it and with a solid SQL implementation to boot. You won't find another product combination that can achieve all of this. Period. I thought I had come up with an original architecture to recommend to your developers (using Memory based tables on the server side for speed.) Instead of adding it to the to-do list, you wrote beck to explain how to do it! You have been amazingly responsive and really seem to care how your customers use your products. I can't say enough good things about your team and products. No longer do Delphi developers need to make their architectural decision based on the database. One database can handle them all. Thank you very much for allowing me to download the trial version of Accuracer 1.4. It appears to be a promising database system as it supports concurrent multi-user read-write access to tables within the same database file. The utilities are working fine so far and one could easily convert BDE files and place them in one single file as supported by Accuracer, plus all the other capabilities. Although I am only an amateur programmer without much knowledge of component writing, retired and not working for any company, I am very interested in your product, as it seems to have excellent features. I am very happy with the product. I am a database specialist. I have worked with 22 million records in SQLServer (300+ seats) and 6.2 million records in MSAccess. I like EasyTable very much. I guess you havn't the $100 miilion that Microsoft have probably spent on MSAccess. I am very impressed with what you have achieved here (on a rather smaller budget - I suspect). I am presently finishing my new product which is a Project Management tool for Property Development. I am very keen to test Accuracer for a new multi-user Resource Management Product that I have planned. I expect to start work on this project in the New Year. I already have a working version of this in VB but it is extremely bulky (10mb+) and to big to be sellable on the Internet. When I look at the Microsoft Net Framework, XML etc either I am getting old or its not workable - the programs with runtimes are truly huge (35mb plus). Hello Leo, Yes, you are right, the database for the same test is incredibly smaller with Accuracer. For a single field database (one WideString 2500 characters width), and a procedure to add 5000 records. a) the database size is 245 kbytes in Accuracer versus 12,849,432 bytes in EasyTable. I agree that the accuracer field is compressed but i very like this :) b) it's took mores than 35 sec.s to add the 500 records with EasyTable where Accuracer do it in 16 secs. This is twice the speed :) So... i will convert WikMail to Accuracer :) WikMail
I am totally impressed with EasyTable. I have worked as a VB/Database Consultant for a lot of blue chip companies with Access and SQLServer and I am stunned by your product. Apart from the 'Update' problem which I reported (I can work around that no problem) it works fantastically well. I have given myself a target of 5 weeks to develop a new product in Delphi and EasyTable. This timescale is not helped by the fact that I have not worked with Delphi since 1995. This would not be possible without EasyTable. After a clunky start (Delphi is not that friendly to my mind) I am now racing along with the help of EasyTable, Castalia, EhGrid and some nice 'Flat' controls. I have to say that your product is absolutely superb. I have been in this business a lot of years and I have evaluated a lot of products on behalf of myself and blue chip clients. Most products 'live to disappoint'. I never buy without evaluation and I am always very price conscious (as are most of my clients). Easy Table 'lives to surprise'. I did have some reservations at first - I once threw myself heart and soul behind a database product called Flatfile (in the early 90's) which was wonderful until you had more than a thousand records - when it started to take 30 seconds to retrieve a record. This was my first commercial failure! I am a very experienced professional programmer with a milllion lines of quality code behind me - (some of it good!). I build clever data applications in VB but these are difficult to sell over the Internet due to their huge size. My current product is a 16mb download - it stops people from trying out the product. The BDE was just as bad - it worked but it was a clunker. However Delphi + EasyTable is a great combination - I am a few days into my new project and its less than 300k with the database! Support basically stands out in a product, it makes or breaks a company, I definitely have only great things to say about the support from Aidaim. I am not that type of person who comment products I am happy with, but I would like to make an exclusion due to the support and help I had received from AidAim. Since ages I was looking for a solution which combine database handling, with great concept and easy usage. Personally I hate when data have to be in a separate directory because hundreds of different tables and so on. However, I am not as professional to solve this problem alone. This tool is great even for amateurs to create a great organized, well established database for their need, on their own ! I am currently using EasyTable for three different projects. One which will help software developers, and two others to be used in an office environment, for small businesses. I do use Blob Fields, mostly for employee photos, and for a sales project I'm working on, will contain product images and info. Over all, I am VERY Satisfied with EasyTable. EasyTable is just that, It is Easy, Fast and I love the example your team offered with creating tables and DBs on the fly, That helped me a lot with my distribution of one project. I use EasyTable with ReportBuilder, and other VCL Libraries and it works wonderful with all!
